What we collect through this website, why, and how to have it removed.
Who we are
This website is operated by Tarika Event Planning & Décor, Jeffreys Bay, Eastern Cape, South Africa. For anything relating to your personal information, contact Erika Opperman on 082 567 0306 or at tarikaeventplanning@gmail.com.
What we collect
If you complete the enquiry form we receive the name, contact details and event details you type into it. Nothing else on this site collects personal information about you. We do not sell data, we do not add enquiries to a mailing list, and we do not share your details with other suppliers unless you ask us to book one on your behalf.
Why we hold it
Only to answer your enquiry and, if you go ahead, to plan and run your event. Under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act, this is processing for the purposes of concluding and performing a contract with you.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become bookings are deleted within about two years. Records relating to bookings are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Third parties
This site is hosted on a commercial web host, loads typefaces from Google Fonts, and embeds a Google map on the contact page. Those services may log your IP address as part of delivering that content. If you follow a link to our Facebook page, Facebook's own privacy terms apply from that point.
Your rights
You may ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email or WhatsApp the request and we will action it and confirm in writing. If you are unhappy with how we handled it, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.
Cookies
This site does not set tracking or advertising cookies of its own. Embedded Google content may set its own cookies in your browser, which you can block in your browser settings without breaking the rest of the site.
